University of Hyderabad PhD Admission 2026 (July)

University of Hyderabad (HCU) invites application for PhD programs in various Schools/ Departments and Centers for 2026-27 (July 2026 Session).

Eligibility Criteria

University of Hyderabad, an Institution of Eminence, invites bright, aspiring students committed to excellence to apply for admission to 28 Ph.D. programmes (enclosed as Annexure-1) through an All-India Entrance Examination to be conducted by University of Hyderabad.

Subject wise detailed requirements is given in Prospectus.

Candidates having valid JRF scores (Catergory-1 only) in the relevant subjects are exempted from writing the University of Hyderabad entrance exam and such candidates shall be called to attend interview directly. Marks obtained in the interview (Out of 30) shall be scaled to 100 for the purpose of generating merit list.

• Keep scanned copy of Photograph, Signature, Educational Certificates, Valid NET JRF Certificate, Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC (NCL) /EWS applicants) etc. ready before initiating the application.

• Downloading of Hall tickets for written test: 30 May, 2026

• Notification of list of selected candidates for interview: 30 June, 2026
