Central University of Kashmir PhD Admission 2025-26

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme at the Central University of Kashmir for the academic session 2025-2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Application invited in the following categories:-

• Category-I: Candidates with scholarships/fellowships (JRF) in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR /ICMR/GATE/DBT/DST-INSPIRE and similar National level tests (as applicable).
• Category-II: Non-fellowship candidates who have qualified NET (UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc., or similar National level tests, as applicable) and also candidates qualified for NET for Ph.D. Admissions.
• Category-III: Foreign Students & Working Professionals and/or In-service Candidates as under:
  • Foreign Students through ICCR.
  • Corporate Sector, Civil Servants, and FIP/ FDP Faculty
  • Employees of Central University of Kashmir.
  • Teachers of Schools/Higher Educational Institutions/Research Institutions

The available seats in each Department shall be first filled with or offered to candidate/s who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The remaining seats (if any) shall be offered to candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET for Assistant Professorship. If some seats remain vacant, the resultant vacancies shall be offered to candidates who have qualified NET for Ph.D. Admissions.

Educational Qualification

Master’s Degree in relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) EWS, and PwD candidates).
