NIPER Guwahati PhD Admission 2025-26

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali invites application for Ph.D. admission 2025 -26.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/M.S. Pharm/M.Pharm) in any branch of Pharmaceutical sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any related fields.
• Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 in the qualifying degree [55% for SC/ST candidates]. For details please please check NIPER Ordinance.
• Valid fellowship from CSIR-UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent programmes.
• Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, provided they meet all eligibility criteria at Admission.
• Note: GPAT/GATE and similar entrance exams are not considered valid fellowship schemes for this Admission.
• Financial support, terms and conditions will be governed by the respective awarding agency and subject to institute policies.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years, with relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Persons with Disabilities, and women candidates as per government norms.

• Scanned copies of certificates supporting date of birth, academic qualifications, reservation category (if applicable), fellowship details and publications/patents, if any.
• Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements before applying. Incomplete or ineligible applications will be disqualified.

Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (online or offline) at NIPER-Guwahati.
• Misrepresentation or incorrect information may result in disqualification at any stage.
• The final list of selected candidates will be published on the institute’s website.
• Admission is contingent upon verification of all eligibility documents. Any discrepancy may lead to the Admission being cancelled at any stage.
