IIT Ropar PhD Chemistry Admission 2026 (May)

IIT Ropar invites applications for admission to PhD Programs in the Department of Chemistry for 2026 (May)

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates with masters or equivalent degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Materials Science and Technology/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Physics or related areas with 6.5 grades point out of 10 or 60% marks (Gen/OBC) and 6.0 grade points or 55% marks (SC/ST).
• Candidates meeting this requirement must also fulfill one of the following additional requirements (valid).
  • GATE qualification.
  • UGC/CSIR-NET or equivalent qualification.
  • DST-INSPIRE or other national fellowship.

Note: M.Tech. or equivalent candidates with 6.5 gradepoints out of 10 or 60% marks are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification.

Application Process

• Candidates have to fill application form online.
• Register on online application portal available on IIT Ropar official website.
• Read instructions carefully before filling application form.
• Submit the application ONLINE. After filling the form, take a print of your application and keep the same for your record. Print copy of the application is not required to be submitted.
