Bhattadev University PhD Admission 2025-26

Bhattadev University, Bajali, Assam invites online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2025-26.

Eligibility

• Candidates seeking for admission into the Ph. D. programme must have a Master’s degree in the concerned or an allied subject with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• А 5% relaxation of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled (with equal to or more than 40% disability) as per UGC guidelines.

Admission Procedure

• The eligible candidates will be admitted by following a two-stage process.
  • All candidates seeking admission into Ph. D. programme must clear the Ph. D. Entrance Test (BU-PET) to be conducted (in offline mode) by Bhattadev University with qualifying marks. The syllabus of the entrance test will consist of General (50%) and Subject-specific (50%) questions.
  • An interview will be conducted by the University for those shortlisted candidates who would qualify the BU-PET to determine the suitability of the candidates for Ph. D. Admission.
• Candidates who have cleared NET/SLET and other equivalent national tests are exempted from appearing in the written test. However, they still have to appear for the personal interview.
• Documents to be produced at the time of interview:
  • A print copy of the Application Form generated after submission.
  • Original Copies of the Pass Certificates and Mark-Sheets from HSLC to Master’s Degree.
  • Original Caste Certificate, if applicable.
  • Self-attested copy of score card for UGC-NET, etc.
  • Self-attested copy of score card of BU-PET 2025 downloaded from University website.
  • No Objection Certificate (in case, the candidate is employed).
• State reservation policy will be followed
• A list of qualified candidates will be published and displayed by the University through office of Academic Registrar on official website and the selected candidates will be informed via email regarding the date of admission and applicable fees.

Application Process

• Applicants seeking admission into the Ph.D. Programme can DOWNLOAD the application form from the University website www.bhattadevuniversity.ac.in and submit the filled in form to the Office of the Academic Registrar on the day of the Entrance Test along with the payment receipt. They have also to fill in the Google form which will be made available in the University website.
• The applicants have to deposit a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST candidates) through SBI Collect in the University Account.
• The last date of application (date of payment of application fee and submission of Google form) is 22/07/2025.
• Date of Entrance test, date of declaration of results of Entrance test and date of Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates will be notified in due course.
