Applications are invited from interested candidates for the position of Research Assistant and Field Investigator in the Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh under ICSSR Major Research Project 2024-2025.

Project Title

“The Back to Village (B2V) Program: Enhancing Grassroots Democracy and Socio-Economic Development in Jammu and Kashmir”

Positions

  • Research Assistant – 01 (One)
  • Field Investigator – 01 (One)

Essential Educational Qualification

  • Research Assistant – Post Graduate in any Social Sciences discipline with minimum 55% marks with NET/M.Phil./Ph.D.
  • Field Investigator – Post Graduate in any Social Sciences discipline with minimum 55% marks

Desirable Qualifications

  • Research Assistant – Proficiency in using software such as SPSS and excellent writing skills.
  • Field Investigator – Experience related to field work in Social Science research and ready to travel within the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Remuneration and Emoluments

  • Research Assistant – Rs. 37,000/- consolidated per month
  • Field Investigator – Rs. 20,000/- consolidated per month

Duration of the Post

  • Research Assistant – Initial appointment will be made for a period of One Year which may be extendable based on the requirements of the project.
  • Field Investigator – The appointment will be made only for a period of six months.

Terms and Conditions

  • The posts (s) are purely temporary. The appointment may be terminated at any time before the expiry of the stipulated period if the work is found to be unsatisfactory.
  • The candidates must bring all original documents along with a set of photocopies of the relevant documents on the date of interview for verification
  • No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview
