Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University PhD Admission 2025-26

Acharaya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh invites online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates applying for admission into the Doctoral degree programmes must have successfully completed the relevant four-year Bachelor’s degree in the respective discipline from ICAR Accredited Agricultural University/agricultural colleges affiliated to accredited university.
• Candidates passed out from private & deemed Agricultural Universities/ private Agricultural Colleges which are not accredited by ICAR will not be considered for PG/Ph.D. Regular Admissions in ANGRAU.
• For admission into Doctoral courses, in the qualifying examination, the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.50 / 10.00 (SC/ ST-5.50/10.00) or 2.60 /4.00 (SC/ST-2.20/4.00) or 60% marks in traditional system (SC/ST-50%)
• The upper age limit for admission shall be 40 years as on 1st July of the admission year.

Ph.D. (Agril. Engineering)

• Farm Machinery & Power Engineering: Masters degree in same discipline

Ph.D. (Community Science)

Admission Procedure

• The admission into Doctoral courses are given considering the score / rank obtained in ICAR’s All Indian Entrance Examination (AIEEA) / ICAR’s All India Competitive Examination (AICE) and also previous academic performance. The student applied for a subject group has to produce rank card/marks in that subject group only.
• The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at Under Graduate level, Post Graduate level, AICE (ICAR) test performance and interview and would be in the ratio of 10:30:50:10 respectively.

Application Process

• Only online applications will be accepted. Applications submitted in any other format will be summarily rejected.
• Applicants must visit the University website: www.angrau.ac.in and complete the registration process.
• Candidates should carefully read and understand all instructions and eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill the application form.
• After successful submission of the application and fee payment, a PDF copy of the filled application will be generated.
• Applicants must download, take a printout, and send the hard copy along with attested photocopies of all enclosures to the specified address on or before 22-09-2025. The envelope should be super scribed with: “Application for Admission into Ph.D. Programme 2025-26”.
