School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies and Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship in association with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) organizing an International Conference on Leveraging Traditional and Cultural Knowledge for the Sustainable Development of Tribal Communities in Chhattisgarh on February 28, 2025 in JNU.
About the Conference
This seminar aims to bring together researchers, scholars, policymakers, and community leaders to discuss and develop strategies for documenting, preserving, and integrating the traditional and cultural knowledge of tribal communities, particularly in the context of Chhattisgarh.
The seminar will emphasize the comprehensive documentation of tribal knowledge related to medicinal plants, healing practices, cultural traditions, as well as ecological and agricultural systems.
Furthermore, the seminar aims to explore the critical significance of incorporating these indigenous practices into contemporary medical systems and development policies, fostering a holistic approach to the recognition and utilization of tribal knowledge.

Guideline for Abstracts, Paper submission
- Abstract should cover one of the theme in Hindi or English.
- Should be in MS word /pdf of A4 size, words limit for abstracts is 200 – 250 and 5000 – 8000 for full paper, typed in Times New Roman font size 12 point with double spacing. margin of 1.5" on the left side and the margin of 1 " on the other three sides .
- Title of paper in upper case centered and bold with font size 14 points
- Author(s) Name and Affiliation (s), centered with font size 11 points. Author ’ s address 10 points italics.

Presentation mode and Venue
Conference will be held in hybrid mode. However, preference would be given to offline mode at JNU campus.
