Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Rajasthan invites application for Ph.D. Admission for the Academic Session 2026-27.

Application Procedures

The interested candidates can apply online for various Ph.D. Programmes at the CURAJ Samarth admission portal (the admission web page link will be available on the CURAJ website: www.curaj.ac.in).

Kindly read the instructions (available on the CURAJ website) before filling up the online registration form. Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility as per the chosen programme before applying.

If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one department, the registration fee has to be submitted for each programme and he/she is also required to apply separately.

Admission Process

The admission in Ph.D. programme 2026-27 in CURAJ will be based on the examination conducted by NTA 2025 as per the UGC public notice No.F.4-1 (UGC-NET Review Committee)/2024 (NET)/140648, dated March 27, 2024. The result categories for the candidates are as follows:

• Category-1: Eligible for (i) admission to Ph.D. with JRF and (ii) appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Category-2: Eligible for (i) admission to Ph.D. without JRF and (ii) appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Category-3: Eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme only and not for the award of JRF or appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Category-4: The candidates who have qualified GATE/JEST/GPAT (for all disciplines) examination are also eligible. However, Category-1 to 3 eligible candidates would be given preference.

The candidates under all categories must have the National Level Qualified Examination Certificate issued on or after May 01, 2025.

Instructions

• Based on information and documents uploaded by the candidates, their eligibility will be verified by the concerned department. If any document is not found satisfactory during the verification process, her/his candidature shall be cancelled immediately.
• All eligible candidates must appear for for University Level Test and interview/viva-voce on the notified date and time in the respective departments on the CURAJ campus. Requests for online interviews will not be accepted.
• Test/Interview schedules for different departments, along with interview guidelines, will be notified on the University website (www.curaj.ac.in).
• The merit list will be prepared according to the reservation policy of the Government of India.
• The merit list for admission will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates.
• Provisionally admitted selected candidates will have their list displayed on the University Website.
• Selected candidates must deposit the prescribed academic fee using the link/information on the University website as per the given schedule and within the stipulated time.
• Failure to deposit academic fees within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of admission, removal of the name from the merit list, and provisional admission being offered to the next wait-listed candidate in order of merit.
• Vacancies arising from non-deposit of fees, cancellations, or withdrawals will be filled according to the merit order of wait-listed candidates.
• The University reserves the right to modify the schedule and process outlined without prior notice and to make final and binding decisions on all matters related to the admission process.

• Commencement of Online Registration: 8 May, 2026
• Last date of submission of Online Registration: 25 May, 2026
• Online Document verification by respective Departments: By 3 June, 2026
• Display of Provisional List of Eligible Candidate on University Website: 4 June, 2026
• Grievance, if any: 5 June, 2026
• Offline Interview/Viva-Voce: 11 June, 2026 and 12 June, 2026
