Application invited for Summer Internship Program 2025 – 2026 at the Industry Powered Tribology and Interactive Surfaces Research Laboratory TRISUL, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai (2 – 4 weeks) Starting June 9, 2025.
About Tribology and Interactive Surfaces Research Laboratory – TRISUL
- TRISUL was established jointly in 2022 by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Mosil Lubricants P Ltd to address the industrial problems in tribology.
- TRISUL works very closely with industries and organizes training programs for both academia and industry professionals.
- TRISUL is equipped with high end tribometers which helps to understand the wear and friction phenomena of engineering materials both at ambient and elevated temperatures.
- The centre aims to grow as one of its kind in the area of tribology understanding the friction, wear and lubrication of engineering components.
Objectives of the Internship Program
- To create awareness among the participants about the friction and wear phenomena occurring in an industrial environment
- To create awareness among the participants about advanced lubrication systems
- To create awareness among the participants about the friction-measuring equipment
- To apply the knowledge of tribology in developing a project

B.Tech students (Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy)/ M.Sc/ M.Tech

Lodging and Food
As per University norms. A twin-sharing room in the hostel will be provided @Rs.590/- per night.
Course Content
Expert lectures from both industry and academia covering the basics of tribology, wear and its types, industrial lubrication, advanced tribometers with hands-on-practice and projects.
