Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra invites application for PhD Admission 2025.

Eligibility

• A candidate must have a minimum of 55% marks (excluding grace marks) in their postgraduate degree.
• SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates are required to have a minimum of 50% marks (excluding grace marks).

Admission Criteria

With Entrance Test

• Entrance Test: 70 Marks (Passing Criteria: Minimum 50%)
• DRAC: 30 Marks (Passing Criteria: Minimum 50%)

Direct Admission with UGC-NET /JRF / GSET /CSIR/ UGC NET (Ph.D. Qualified)

• Undergraduate (UG) 10% of Obtained Percentage
• Post Graduate (PG) 20% of Obtained Percentage
• M.Phil. Completion- 15 Marks
• Teaching Experience: 10 Marks (Max)
• UGC-NET /JRF /GSET /CSIR /UGC NET (Ph.D. Qualified Exam)- 15 Marks
• DRAC: 30 Marks (Passing Criteria: Minimum 50%)

* Teaching Experience: 01 (One) Mark of Every Completed Year of Teaching Subjected to a Maximum of 10 (Ten) Years Only for University Recognized Teachers.

SGGU PhD Entrance Test (PET)

• The Ph.D. Entrance Exam will be multiple-choice and OMR-based.
• The seat numbers, exam centers, and timings will be announced on the university’s website.
• The paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
• 50 questions will be based on research methodology, and 50 questions will be related to the specific subject of the candidate.
• There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
• The duration of the exam will be two hours.
• The passing criteria for the entrance exam will be in accordance with the UGC Regulation – 2022.

Exemption from Entrance Exam

Candidates who have qualified in the following exams are exempt from the entrance exam:

• UGC NET
• SLET
• GATE
• CSIR NET
• UGC NET (Ph.D. Qualified)

These candidates must still fill out the online form and pay the application fee. They must also attend the DRC (Doctoral Research Committee) process for their respective subjects.
