Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya PhD Admission 2024-25

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh invites online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2024-25.

Eligibility

The University shall conduct the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to the Ph.D. programme for the academic session 2024-25 in accordance with the revised Ordinance No. 11 and the University Grants Commission (UGC) Ph.D. Regulations-2022.

A candidate seeking admission to the Doctor of Philosophy programme must, at the time of application, hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in the relevant or allied subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/EWS/Differently-Abled, and other categories as per the prevailing UGC regulations).

Accordingly, from the academic session 2024-25, Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, will adopt the National Eligibility Test (NET) scores for admission to Ph.D. programmes and also conduct a university-level entrance test as per the revised Ordinance No. 11, in accordance with the UGC Ph.D. Regulation-2022.

Candidates who have qualified in all three categories of UGC-NET from June 2024/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and Similar National level tests, based on interview are exempted to appear in DET 2024-25. However, such candidates must mandatorily submit an application through the online process. Additionally, such candidates shall be required to appear for an interview.

Entrance Test Details

• The Entrance Test shall consist of a single multiple-choice objective-type paper comprising 100 questions, each carrying one mark.
• The paper shall include 50 questions on Research Methodology and 50 questions on the relevant postgraduate subject.
• The duration of the examination shall be two hours.
• To qualify for the entrance test, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped).
• Candidates who qualify in the Entrance Test shall be required to appear for an interview.

Application Process

• Eligible candidates intending to seek admission to this programme are required to submit their applications through the online process. The application shall be accompanied by an online payment of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) plus applicable online charges, to be made through the official website of Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur (http://www.rdunijbpin.org).
• A hard copy of the duly filled online application form, along with attested supporting documents, must be submitted or sent to the Head of the respective University Teaching Department of the relevant subject for scrutiny.
