Rani Channamma University PhD Admission 2025-26

Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, Karnataka invites application for Ph.D. (Full-time and Part-time) programmes in various disciplines of the University for the academic year 2025-26.

Eligibility

• Candidates who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1/Physically challenged) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from the recognized Universities/ Institutions from India and abroad.
• Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/Cat-I/Physically challenged, must ensure to submit the relevant documents, failing which their candidature will be considered under general merit.
• Candidates who take up Ph.D. programme on full-time basis shall give an undertaking to the effect that they are not in any job, or pursuing any other course either part-time or full time.
• Candidates who wish to undertake Ph.D. on part-time basis should be only a Govt. / Permanent / Full time employee.
• Candidates who take up Ph.D. programme on part-time basis shall submit No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from employing Organization/Institution (at the time of selection process).

Selection Process

• Candidates have to appear for Ph.D. Entrance Test.
• In case of candidates securing the same marks in the merit list then such candidates who have secured higher percentage in the Master’s Degree Examination will be placed higher in ranking.

Exemption from the Entrance Test

• Foreign and sponsored candidates, teachers on FIP/QIP and candidates who have cleared the UGC- JRF/UGC-CSIR-JRF/ NET/SLET/ GATE/GRE are exempted from the Entrance Test.
• The candidates who are exempted from the Entrance Test shall be informed separately regarding the date, time and venue of the interview, by the respective Department.

Application Process

• The prescribed applications (Applications -A) should be filled through UUCMS portal from the website https://uucms.karnataka.gov.in by the applicants and downloaded application (Hard copy) should be sent to the Chairperson/Co-Ordinator of the concerned Department.
• Applications submitted after the last date with penalty will not be considered and fee once paid will not be refunded.
• Incomplete application and application without relevant documents will be rejected.

• Issue of Application: 18 March, 2026
• Last Date for the Submission of duly filled Application: 30 March, 2026
• Last date with penalty of Rs. 500: 7 April, 2026
