Project Title

Study on Pyrolysis Oil for Determination of Correlation amongst Feedstock, Composition, Manufacturing Technology, and Performance Characteristics

Essential Qualification

B.E./ B.Tech in Energy Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / B.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / relevant specialization with first division or higher.

Desirables

  • Understanding the fundamentals of biomass conversion and waste-to-energy technologies, pyrolysis in particular.
  • Good technical documentation skills

Job Description

  • Research and development on the production, characterization, and testing of pyrolysis oil.
  • Data collection through field visits and other means from various stakeholders such as industries and end-users.
  • Related characterization and tests as per relevant standards.
  • Compilation of Results.
  • Report preparation and presentation.

Emoluments

Rs. 34,800 per month, including HRA

  • Candidates, before appearing for the interview, shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
  • Eligible candidates desiring to appear for the interview may attend the WALK-IN INTERVIEW scheduled at 2PM, on 14th February 2025,_ in the Department of Energy and Environment. National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli — 620015.
  • The candidate has to bring in a filled application form in the prescribed format* along with the relevant supporting documents attending the WALK-IN interview, which include (but NOT limited to):
    • Experience in research/industry (if any),
    • Original and attested copies of the degree certificates and grade cards,
    • First page of B.E. / B.Tech. Thesis and Publications (if any), etc.
  • Mere fulfillment of the above eligibility criteria stated in the advertisement will not merit the automatic selection of a potential candidate. Higher criteria may be imposed in case of a high number of candidates. In such cases, preference will be given to the candidate with a good academic record, valid GATE/NET score, and sound research background with relevant experience along with their performance in the interview.
  • All the supporting documents should also be brought in original for verification during the interview.
  • Please note that NO TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
  • The decision made by the selection committee will be considered final. If any applicant. is found to canvass in any manner, their candidature shall be summarily rejected.
