NIT Rourkela has launched a Summer Internship Programme with an objective to encourage ambitious bright B. Tech, B. Arch, Integrated M.Sc., Integrated M.Tech/Dual Degree, MA, M.Sc. and MBA students of different Institutes in India other than NIT Rourkela to pursue an innovative research and development project under the guidance of NITR faculties.
Duration
May 16 to Jul 15, 2025.
Fellowship and Other Facilities
- Fellowship or other Financial assistance will not be provided.
- Laboratory, Library Facilities (without borrowing) and internet facilities.
- Medical facility (consultation with doctor at Institute dispensary).
- Approximate food and Accommodation cost at NIT Rourkela Hostel: Rs. 7500/- per month.

Depending on available projects floated by the respective departments.
Eligibility
- The student should be free during the period (May 16 to Jul 15, 2025). Requests for late joining or early leaving will not be entertained.
- He/she should have all grade sheets till the previous semesters.
- Any B.E./B. Tech student with a good academic record, who has appeared at least the 4th-semester examination.
- Any B. Arch/Integrated M.Sc./Integrated M.Tech/Dual degree student with a good academic record, who has appeared at least the 6th-semester examination.
- Any M.Sc/MA/MBA student with a good academic record, who has appeared at least the 2nd-semester examination.
