Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in a Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, GoWB funded project in the Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Durgapur.

Sustainable Ground Improvement Through Granular Column Filled with Coal Mine Overburden Aggregates

Duration of Appointment

The above position is for a period of three years/end of the project but subject to the condition of the candidate’s performance (performance will be evaluated every six months). After successful completion of two years as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) candidate may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF).

Fellowship and Allowance

₹25,000/- per month (Accommodation as per Institute Norm).

Eligibility

  • Candidate with M.Tech./M.E. with a minimum 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks in Geotechnical Engineering/Transportation Engineering/ Structural Engineering or related specialization from any reputed Institutes/Universities.
  • Candidates having experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering will be given preference.
  • Candidates who have completed their M.Tech program in the 2025 batch, but have not yet received their official degree, are also eligible to apply.
