NISER Summer Internship 2025 in School of Computer Sciences (SCoS)

The School of Computer Sciences, NISER invites applications for the Summer Internship 2025 from the eligible students registered / enrolled in the UG/PG degree courses related to Computer Sciences in the recognized Universities / Institutions.

Summer Internship / Short-term Project Program

This program aims to provide hands on training to the UG /PG students interested in scientific research in the field of Computer Sciences.

The process involves assignment of a small research project on a problem related to the discipline and to find out the probable solutions by applying appropriate scientific research methodology and using the available resources in the lab.

This complete process will be done by the intern/student under the close guidance & supervision of a faculty member from the School.

On successful completion of the project, the intern shall be issued a “Project Completion Certificate” which may be useful enriching the academic credentials of the intern. Other details of the program are given below:

1. Duration: May 22nd to July 21st, 2025
2. Extension: No extension.
3. Prior Participation: Not eligible if previously availed at NISER.
4. PI Vacancies: Applications considered only for advertised PI vacancies.
5. Selection: By the respective PI / Faculty.
6. Stipend: ₹5000/- per month & to and fro second class sleeper train fare (for those not receiving other funding).
7. Program Fee: No fee.
8. Accommodation: Chargeable hostel accommodation @ ₹30/- per day (subject to availability).

General Terms & Conditions

Selected students will have to sign an undertaking at the time of joining, agreeing to the following:

• NISER owns all data and intellectual property generated during the project work.
• Students have no rights to use the data for any purpose (including publications/patents) without prior NISER approval, except for project reports/theses under faculty supervision.
• Strict confidentiality of institute/school/lab/instrumentation information must be maintained.
• Violation may lead to disciplinary/legal action by NISER.
• Students must strictly follow instructions of their faculty PIs.
• Proper discipline and decorum must be maintained on campus. Misconduct may lead to disciplinary action.
• Students must abide by rules and deposit caution money for availing hostel, library, or other NISER facilities.
• No NISER e-mail ID will be created for interns.
• Students must use their own laptops; limited guest Wi-Fi may be provided for project-related work only (misuse may lead to disciplinary action).
• Hostel accommodation may be provided on a chargeable basis subject to availability.
