National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali invites application for Ph.D. admission 2025 (Jan) – Direct Admission.

Vacancy

NIPER-M, offers a diverse range of Ph.D. programs in cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biomedical disciplines.

These include Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacoinformatics.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.S. Pharm/M.Pharm.) in any branch of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any field in which PhD programme is being offered.
  • Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 in the qualifying degree [55% for SC/ST candidates].
  • Valid offer of fellowship from CSIR/UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE or equivalent programmes.
  • Note: GPAT/GATE and similar entrance exams are not considered valid fellowship schemes for this admission.
  • Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, provided they meet all eligibility criteria at admission.
  • Financial support, terms and conditions will be governed by the respective awarding agency and subject to institute policies.
  • NIPER S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) will not pay any fellowship to the direct PhD admission/independent fellowship admission under any circumstances.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years, with relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Persons with Disabilities, and women candidates as per government norms.
