Applications are invited for the MNIT Summer Internship Programme for a 4 to 6-week duration commencing from 2nd June 2025 with a fellowship.
The internship will be in offline mode.
The candidates are required to submit applications through email from NITs (other than MNIT Jaipur), IISERs, National Labs, Centrally funded technical Institutions, CFTIs, Government Universities, Private institutions/ Universities, and Similar organizations.
About the Program
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) is an exceptional opportunity extended by MNIT Jaipur to promising undergraduate and graduate students from institutions other than MNIT Jaipur to work in various academic departments/centres under the mentorship of faculty members in various areas in both theoretical and experimental domains.

Boarding and Lodging
The selected candidates will be able to use the hostel accommodation for which they will have to pay Hostel Rent and mess facility in the Hostel fee as applicable. This will be subject to availability.
Eligibility
Undergraduate and Graduate students with a minimum 7.00 CGPA.
Duration
A minimum of 4 weeks to 6 weeks during the summer break of MNIT Jaipur. The duration can be extended based on the inputs of the concerned mentor after the permission of the Competent Authority.
Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and other academic and professional details provided in the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae.

Financial Support
- Support from Institute Funds (Category-I): The candidates selected at the Institute level for each Academic Unit (Department/Centre) shall be provided hands-on expenses of Rs.10,000/- per month
- Support from Ongoing Research Projects (Category-II): Faculty members acting as Principal Investigator/Co-Principal Investigator shall be able to pay hands-on expenses of Rs.10,000/- per month for UG students and Rs.15000/- per month for PG students to the selected candidates from their project budget.

General Instructions
- Candidates are advised to visit the Department/Centre website and Faculty profiles to see details of the prospective mentors.
- The selected candidate shall receive a certificate of completion from the mentor.
- During the period of internship, the General Rules of Conduct and Discipline as applicable to MNIT students shall be applicable.
- The candidates must select an Internship Supervisor in their relevant field of study/ course from the list attached at Annexure- ‘A’ and contact the supervisor/mentor for further details about the proposed topic.
- The Candidates are required to do their internship in one department under one supervisor only.
- A list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Institute Website.
- Hostel accommodation on a sharing basis will be provided, subject to availability, on a chargeable basis. The application for accommodation (only after being selected for internship) should reach the Dean of Student Affairs office through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission. The student will be required to pay the cost of food and access to other amenities (Rs .150/- per day for food, Rs.70/- per day for room rent without a mattress, and Rs.200/- per day with a mattress. Accommodation is only available if the student pursues an internship from 3rd June onwards.
