JRF or Senior Project Associate (SPA) at NIT Uttarakhand

Walk-In-Interview shall be conducted for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Senior Project Associate(SPA) for the project titled “Design and development of Grewia optiva/ Basalt fiber based polymer composite for the application of sustainable structure in land slide prone areas of Uttarakhand ” under Core Research Grant (file Number: CRG/2023/002022) by SERB, DST Govt. of India, under the supervision of Dr. Lalta Prasad (PI) and Dr. Niraj Kumar Mishra (Co-PI), in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Uttarakhand.

Position

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Senior Project Associate (SPA):

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualifications: M.E/M. Tech./ MS or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Energy/ Renewable Energy/ Thermal and allied subjects with minimum of 1st class or equivalent CGPA and GATE qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Age: Below 35 years
• Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 per month + 8% HRA

Senior Project Associate (SPA)

• Essential Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering and allied subjects from a recognized university.
• Age: Below 40 years
• Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA (8%)

Interested candidates shall appear for walk-in interview along with application form, all originals and self-attested photo-copies of relevant certificates as per the above schedule in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Uttarakhand, Temporary Campus – Govt. ITI, Srinagar Garhwal – 246174 (Uttarakhand). General Terms & Conditions

• The duration of post will be initially for one year, which may be extended up to the completion of the project or up to June 2027, whichever is earlier, based on the satisfactory performance. The fellowship/ Monthly Emoluments may be terminated if performance of candidate is not satisfactory.
• The post created under the SERB project is purely on temporary basis and neither SERB nor the Institute would have liability whatsoever for sustaining temporary staff recruited under the above-mentioned project, after its completion/termination.
• request for appearing online shall be made by the candidate via email at laltaprasad@nituk.ac.in at least one day prior to the scheduled date of walk-in-interview.
• Only those candidates who are present before the reporting time on scheduled date will be considered for Interview. Candidates reporting after the scheduled reporting time for document verification shall NOT be eligible to appear for the Interview.
• NIT Uttarakhand has right to cancel the recruitment for the aforesaid post at any time without providing any clarifications/information.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-In-Interview.
• No interim correspondence will be entertained and canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
