2. Agricultural Extension Education:

1. Farm Machinery and Power Engineering:
   • M. Tech./M.E./MS/ M.Sc. degree with OGPA of 3.00/4.00, 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks under the marks system of examination in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Farm Machinery & Power/ Farm Implements and Machines/ Farm Power and Machinery in the respective degree program.
   • The candidate must have completed a degree from any University or Institutes of National Importance (IIT, NIT, NIFTEM) under the 10+2+4+2 system of education.
2. Soil and Water Conservation Engineering:
   • M. Tech./M.E./MS/ M.Sc. degree with OGPA of 3.00/4.00, 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks under the marks system of examination in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Soil & water Engineering/ Water Resources Development & Management/ Hydrology/ Soil & Water Conservation Engineering/ Irrigation & Drainage in the respective degree program.
   • The candidate must have completed a degree from any University or Institutes of National Importance (IIT, NIT, NIFTEM) under the 10+2+4+2 system of education.
3. Processing & Food Engineering:
   • M. Tech./M.E./ MS/ M.Sc. degree with OGPA of 3.00/4.00, 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks under the marks system of examination in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Agricultural Processing and Food Engineering/ Post Harvest Processing and Food Engineering/ Food Engineering/ Processing and Food Engineering/ Post Harvest Technology/Food Technology from a recognized University.
   • The candidate must have completed a degree from any University or Institutes of National Importance (IIT, NIT, NIFTEM) under the 10+2+4+2 system of education.

5. Ph.D.-CET Format: The CET will consist of 100 multiple-choice objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks with no negative marking. There will be separate question papers for different disciplines. Rechecking and retotaling of CET answer books are not permitted. The OMR sheets will be electronically scanned and evaluated to prepare the merit list.
6. Ph.D.-CET Timing: The Ph.D.-CET-2025 will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
7. Ph.D.-CET Qualifying Marks: The cut-off marks for qualifying the Ph.D. CET are 33% for both regular and in-service candidates. SC and ST candidates will receive a 5% relaxation in the cut-off marks. If seats remain vacant, the cut-off marks may be reduced until the seats are filled according to merit.
8. Age Limit: There is no age limit for the Ph.D. program.

13. Final Decision: In all matters related to Ph.D. program admission, the decision of the Admission Committee will be final. The Vishwavidyalaya reserves the right to cancel admission at any time if it’s found to be granted wrongly due to oversight, mistake, omission, error, or the candidate’s ineligibility. The Vishwavidyalaya’s decision will be final.
14. Seats for External Candidates: There will be one seat in each department for candidates from organizations outside IGKV. These candidates must appear for the Ph.D.-CET examination and qualify with at least 33% marks.
15. Meeting Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have acquired the minimum admission requirements by the last date for submitting the application form for counseling.
16. Online Counseling: Admission will follow an online counseling procedure as per the schedule available on the website (https://igkv.ac.in). Only online counseling will be used for admissions.

Tie-breaking Criteria in CET Marks:

In case of a tie in CET marks between two candidates, the following preference order will be used to determine the merit rank:

1. Preference will be given to the candidate with a higher OGPA/Percentage in their PG degree.
2. If the tie persists, preference will be given to the elder candidate.
3. If there’s still a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with a higher OGPA/percentage in their UG degree.
4. In case of a further tie, the decision of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor will be final.
