IIT Patna Wanted JRF at ANRF- IRG Sponsored Project

Applications are invited in the prescribed format only for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in IIT Patna.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01

Duration of the Post

Initially 01 year and can be extended up to of 03 years subject to satisfactory performance.
(Note: JRF may apply in PhD programme of MME Dept. of IIT Patna)

In-situ/ex-situ electric field and temperature dependent structural and microstructural study in piezoelectric Gd- CeO2 thin films

Consolidated Fellowship/Salary

Rs. 37,000/- +HRA per month for first two years
and Rs. 42,000/-+HRA per month for the third year (as applicable)

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech/M.E/Equivalent degree in Engineering/Science/Technology with valid GATE score in any one of the following paper codes: MT, CH, ME, AE, PI, PH, CY, XE, BT, EE, EC, TF, MN, XL, CE, MA or NET qualified.
• The candidate desirably should have B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech/ME/Equivalent degree with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60 % of marks.
• The upper age limit for applying for the JRF position shall be 28years for B.Tech/B.E/MSc and 32 years for the M.Tech/M.E degree. Relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/women/PD will be given as per the GOI rules.

Key responsibilities of a JRF include

• Research Work: Conduct literature reviews, experimental work, data collection, site visit, and data analysis as part of the research project.
• Project Assistance: Assist the PI in project planning, design, and execution.
• Data Interpretation: Analyse research data and interpret the results to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Report Writing: Prepare research reports, papers, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to the research team and stakeholders.
• Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of the latest developments and advancements in the field of research.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other researchers and team members to share knowledge and insights.
• Compliance: Ensure that research work is conducted in adherence to ethical guidelines and research protocols.
• Professional Development: Attend seminars, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and research skills.
