RISE-UP 2025: Research Internship in Sciences and Engineering: an Undergraduate Program.
The program nurtures and promotes an undergraduate research culture among students by conducting an internship at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu.
The internship provides an opportunity to closely work with the faculty members of IIT Jammu, access to laboratories to conduct project work while accumulating a valuable research experience.
Eligibility Criteria
- Preference will be given to students with good programming/technical skills and a willingness to solve real-world challenges.
- Open to pre-final year graduate/undergraduate non-IIT Jammu students.

Application Procedure
- The minimum duration of the internship is Six weeks from the start date (begins 20th May, 2025 till the end of July 2025).
- The internship period can be extended up to eight weeks with mutual consent.
- Students must select one primary and one secondary project based on research interest. The problem statement can be changed with mutual consent.
- Students are required to upload all educational documents, one-page CV, Bonafide Certificate, Declaration letter by parents, and other related documents/certificates. Sample letters are available on the website.
- Uploading duplicate/wrongly attached documents or late/incomplete applications will not be processed.
- Before submitting, ensure the accuracy of the information. No changes can be made after submission.
- You may contact faculty members before applying.
- The Application portal will open from April 01, 2025.
- The deadline for online application submission is April 15, 2025, 11:59 pm.
- The results will be announced on or before April 30, 2025.
- The internship is fully offline.
- The list of selected interns will be published on the institute website before or on April 30, 2025.

Financial aid
- The students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 13,000/- during the internship.
- Hostel accommodation will be provided; students are required to pay applicable hostel and mess charges (check the Hostel/Mess Declaration form for details).
