Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur invites application for PhD Admission 2025.
IIM Raipur’s Ph.D. Program is a four-year, full-time program designed for students with strong academic credentials who aspire to become globally acclaimed scholars.
Students earning a Ph.D. in management from IIM Raipur will be well-equipped for a rewarding academic career, enabled by the ability to undertake independent and impactful management research.
IIM Raipur offers Fellow Programme in Management as one of the Doctoral Programmes.

- Strategy & Entrepreneurship
Eligibility
The candidates for the program must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.
- A Master’s degree/PGP from IIMs or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.
OR - Professional qualifications such as CA/ICWA with degree and CS with B. Com degree along with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average
OR - 4 Year/8 Semester Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/ B.Arch) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent.
OR - Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
A relaxation of five percentage (5%) points will be given to SC, ST, and PWD candidates.
Candidates appearing in the final year examination in the current academic year may also apply. However, their admission to the programme will be provisional subject to their successful completion of all requirements for obtaining the relevant degree before 30th June 2025.
Age Limit
Candidate must not be more than 50 years as on June 1st, 2025.
Selection Process
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria as stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have qualified GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF (UGC/CSIR) or UGC-NET examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialization.

The admission office in consultation with the admission committee and as per the mandated cut-offs (category wise) will decide the number of candidates to be called for PI across specializations. However, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates were found to be more than the required number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section wise minimum score would be increased to get the desired number of candidates.
Personal Interview
As per the entrance test score, all shortlisted candidates must appear for a personal interview at the IIM Raipur campus. The selection panel will assess the suitability of the candidates for the PhD Programme. The committee will look into a consistently good academic record, professional accomplishments, research interest, etc.
Preparing The Merit List
Merit Lists will be prepared specialization-wise based on Academic Qualification and Personal Interview. The following criteria will be applied to prepare the merit lists.
- Academic Qualification (40%): For the Academic profile, following will be the weights:
- 10th Standard: 8%
- 12th Standard: 8%
- Graduation: 16%
- Post-Graduation (PG): 8%

Personal Interviews with both the area and program panels are mandatory for each candidate.
Financial Support
- First & Second Year: Rs. 50,000/month.
- Third & Fourth Year: Rs. 55,000/month (After successful completion of Comprehensive Exam)
- International, National Conference & Doctoral Colloquium: Rs. 2,00,000 for the entire 4 years.
- Contingency Grant A one-time allowance of up to Rs. 50,000 is provided for a laptop/PC
