IIITDM Jabalpur PhD Admission 2024-25 (Special Round)

Indian Institute of Information Technology Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur invites applications for PhD Admissions for 2024-25 (Special Round).

PhD Categories

Full Time

• Institute Assistantship (IA)
• Semi Govt. Fellowship Award (FA) (MeitY, UGC, CSIR, DAE, DBT, DST, NBHM etc.)
• Sponsored Candidates (SW)

Part Time

• Institute Staff (IS) for Institute Staff of IIITDM Jabalpur
• Project Staff (PS) for Project Staff of IIITDM Jabalpur
• External candidates, sponsored by recognized R & D organizations / academic institution / Industry (EX)

Eligibility Criteria

• A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required at the Master’s level qualifying examination (M.Tech./ M.E. /M.Des. etc.) as the specified minimum for admission in a Ph.D. programme for the concerned disciplines.
• Relaxation for reserved category in the eligibility requirements shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Course wise Eligibility

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE):

• Minimum Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. with B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in any discipline/branch
• Other Essential Requirement: Qualified GATE in Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) or CSIR/UGC JRF/NET in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE):

• Minimum Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. with B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in any discipline/branch
• Other Essential Requirement: Qualified GATE in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) or Instrumentation (IN) or Computer Science and Information Technology or Physics.

Mechanical Engineering (ME):

• Minimum Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. with B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in any discipline/branch
• Other Essential Requirement: Qualified GATE in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Production and Industrial Engineering (PI) or Aeronautical Engineering (AE).

Design:

• Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in Design (M.Des.), Technology (M.Tech.) and Architecture (M.Arch.), Master’s Degree (MSc) in Physiology (Specialization in Ergonomics)/Applied Psychology, Cognitive Science, Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and Master of Applied Arts.
• Other Essential Requirement: Qualified GATE/CEED in Design.

Natural Sciences (NS):

• Minimum Qualification: M.Sc./M.Phil./M.Tech./M.E. in any discipline/branch.
• Other Essential Requirement: Qualified GATE or CSIR/UGC-JRF/NET.

Financial Support

• Support upto Rs 50,000/- is provided towards project related work.
• Support of Rs.50,000/- towards travel to International Level Conference for presenting research work. Additional support of Rs.10,000/- towards National Level Conference.

Application Procedure

• Students can apply only through the online application portal only. There is no provision for offline submission of application forms.
• If you are applying for more than one discipline, please submit a separate application for each discipline.
• After successful submission of the application form, please save the application form. You need to furnish hardcopy of the application form and self-attested copies of all the relevant documents at the time of interview.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.

• Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 31 March, 2025
• Announcement of list of shortlisted candidates for written test / Interview: 4 April, 2025
• Interview and/or written test: 15 April, 2025
• Announcement of list of selected candidates for Ph.D. Admission: 21 April, 2025
• Registration: Between 22 April, 2025 – 29 April, 2025
