Eligibility

PhD (Full Time) CSE, ECE GEN/ EWS/     OBC 6.5 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or equiv.) in MTech/ ME/ equiv. in relevant areas; OR

8.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in BE/BTech/MSc/ MCA/ BS (4 years)/ equiv. in relevant areas.
SC/ ST/ PwD 6 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.)

in MTech/ME or equiv. in relevant areas; OR

7.5 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in BE/BTech/MSc/ MCA/ BS Hon. (4 years) or equiv. in relevant
areas.
Maths & Computing, Applied Physics, Humanities & Social Sciences GEN/ EWS/     OBC 6.5 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in MSc/ MA or equiv. in relevant areas; OR

8.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in BE/BTech/ BS (4 years) or eq. in relevant areas.
SC/ ST/ PwD 6 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.)

in MSc/MA or equiv. in relevant areas; OR

7.5 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in BE/BTech/ BS (4 years) or eq.
PhD (Part Time) All GEN/ EWS/     OBC 6.5 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.)

in MTech/ME/MS/MSc/MCA/ MA/ equiv. with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.; OR

6.5 CPI/ CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.) in BTech or an equivalent degree in relevant areas with a minimum
of two years of work experience.
SC/ ST/ PwD 6 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.)

in MTech/ME/MS/MSc/MCA/ MA/ equiv.; OR

6.0 CPI/ CGPA on a 10-point scale (or eq.) in BTech or an equivalent degree in relevant areas with a minimum
of two years of work experience.
*Essential qualification for PhD (Part Time, in addition to the above):
The applicant must be an employee (regular / on contract) of a State/ Central Govt. Departments/ PSUs/
Educational Institutes/ Research organizations/ Industries with an annual turnover of at least 2 crores of
last financial year.

Financial Assistance

  • The institute offers financial assistance to eligible Ph.D.(Full Time) students of Rs 37,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000/- per month for the next three years. The amount may vary based on the institute norms. The financial assistance is against TAship, Research work and other co-academic work.
  • Note that students under the Part Time category are not eligible to avail the financial assistance from the institute.

  1. Pay the application fee
  2. Keep scanned copies of following documents: Marksheets & certificate of post-graduation/graduation, Category certificate, CV, photograph, Proof of payment, No Objection Certificate from current employer (if applicable)
  3. The applicants must fill up the Online Application Form and SUBMIT it. Do Not leave the form half filled.
  4. After successful submission, an email will be sent. Print it, sign on all pages and send it along with supporting documents by email to pgadmissions@iiitvadodara.ac.in
