Himachal Pradesh National Law University PhD Admission 2025-26

Online Applications are invited for the admission to the Ph.D. Programme in Himachal Pradesh National Law University (Only for UGC-Net/JRF Candidates/Ph.D. only) for the Academic Session 2025-26.

Admission Procedure

Admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be based on the basis of their UGC-NET/JRF/Ph.D. only score and merit list prepared on the basis of the applicant UGC-NET Score and screening of the presentation on the submitted research proposal before the Committee of the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla as mentioned in the UGC letter No F.4-1 (UGC-NET Review Committee)/ 2024(NET)/ 140648 dated 27th March, 2024.

Part Time Ph.D

Not more than 20% seats shall be offered for the part time candidates, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions (as mentioned in the UGC Regulations, 2022) :-

• Applicant/candidate must be in full time regular employment.
• “No Objection Certificate” from the appropriate authority in the organization where the candidate is employed, clearly stating that:
  • The candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a part-time basis.
  • His/her official duties permit/him/her to devote sufficient time for research.
  • If required, he/she will be relieved from the duty to complete the course work.
• The student must have successfully completed the course work prescribed within the duration from the date of his/her registration.
• The maximum duration will be same as per the UGC Regulations, adopted by the University time to time.
