Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University PhD Admission 2025-26

Applications are invited for admission into Ph.D.(Hort.)/ Ph.D., Courses from the candidates of Andhra Pradesh who qualified and secured rank in subject group of ICAR-AIEEA (PG)-2025 & ICAR-AICE–JRF/SRF (Ph.D)-2025 respectively.

Eligibility Criteria

• The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
• B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture/B.Sc.(Agriculture) with Four (4) Years duration and M.Sc.(Hort.) in relevant subject with two (2) Years duration
• For Ph.D admission, the minimum OGPA in the Masters Programme should be 6.50/10.00 from ICAR Accredited Universities.

Admission Procedure

• The candidate, who qualified and secured rank in ICAR AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D) – 2025 are eligible for admission into Doctoral Degree.
• The student applied for a subject group has to produce rank card in that subject group only.
• In case of a tie, the candidates who secures more marks at previous qualification i.e., B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture or B.Sc.(Hort.) / M.Sc.(Hort.) shall be preferred.
• For further tie breaking, date of birth shall be considered and older candidates shall be preferred.
• The admission shall be on the basis of counselling for Doctoral Degree Programme. The merit list of eligible candidates within the subject groups will be prepared and counselling will be conducted tentatively on 10-12-2025_for Ph.D.(Hort.) / Ph.D., Courses.

• Date & Time of Counseling for Qualified Candidates for Ph.D.(Hort.)/ Ph.D Courses: 10 December, 2025 (10 AM)
