Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates fulfilling any of the following educational requirements are eligible to apply:
- A one-year/two-semester Master’s degree following a four-year/eight-semester Bachelor’s degree; or
- A two-year/four-semester Master’s degree following a three-year Bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent qualification recognized by the competent statutory body.
Minimum Marks Requirement
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in their Master’s degree.
- Candidates applying on the basis of a four-year/eight-semester Bachelor’s degree (Honours with Research) must have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
- Relaxation in Marks: A relaxation of 5% marks or an equivalent grade may be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC-I/BC-II/ Differently-Abled/EWS.
Minimum Admission Requirement
Applicants must have qualified in JRF, UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, JET, GATE, CEED or other similar national-level examinations, wherever applicable under the University’s regulations, and must satisfy the prescribed admission requirements.
