Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University Gujarat invites application for PhD Admission 2025-26.

Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% at the postgraduate level in a relevant subject from a UGC/AICTE/DEB recognized university/institution. (For candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/PH categories, a minimum of 50% is required). The reservation rules for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) prescribed by the State Government will be applicable.
Admission to the Ph.D. program will be granted according to the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2022, and its amended version.
It is mandatory to pass the entrance examination conducted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University. Candidates who have passed NET/GSET/JRF (or M.Phil. candidates who have cleared the entrance exam for admission) will be exempted from the entrance examination.
The validity of the Ph.D. entrance exam result will remain until the current year’s admission process is completed.
