Dharmashastra National Law University PhD Admission 2025-26

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh invites online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria

• LLM degree from recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / Specially Abled Persons (SAP)and Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
• Equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
• The candidate whose final result of the qualifying examination is awaited, can apply to appear provisionally in the admission test. Such candidate shall have to produce the final result of the qualifying examination at the time of his / her admission in the Ph.D.

Admission Process

For UGC-JRF:

• The Candidate with UGC-JRF is exempted from the Entrance Test.
• The admission shall be made through evaluation of research proposals followed by interview/viva/- voce

For All-India Entrance Test:

The admission shall be through two-stage selection process, which include

• Written entrance test and
• Evaluation of research proposals followed by interview/viva-voce.

NOTE:

• 50% of the questions for the entrance test shall be related to Research Methodology and remaining 50% shall be subject specific i.e. Part A of the Question Paper in Research Methodology through MCQ and Part B of the Question Paper in Law or Social Sciences.
• The Question Pattern will be descriptive in nature not the MCQ for subjects.
• The candidate shall secure minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/SAP/EWS candidates) in the entrance test to qualify for the second stage.
• Syllabus is according to UGC NET Examination.

The Application Form to be filled in soft copy form by filling the Google Form (Link given in notification).

The application form has to be submitted through Google Form ONLY and incomplete form will be rejected by the university with no liability to refund the application fee.
