Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) Bhiwani invites application for PhD Admission 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have completed 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme with minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed OR a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or has acquired qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/BC (non-creamy layer)/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission/Govt. of Haryana from time to time.

AND

• Duly qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) or equivalent test as notified by UGC (SOP-XXXVIII) or other statutory bodies OR
• has equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.

For candidates with M.Phil. programme

• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme.
• A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
• AND National Eligibility Test (NET) or equivalent test as notified by UGC (SOP- XXXVIII) or other statutory bodies.

Note

• Candidates in final year of their degree and appeared for NET and waiting for their results to be declared can also apply for admission to Ph.D. programme but they must fulfil the above criteria of eligibility at the time of interview.
• The DRC of the concerned department shall decide the concerned/ allied / relevant subjects for pursuing research or otherwise decided by the University.

Selection Process

The University shall admit the eligible students:

• THROUGH PUBLIC NOTIFICATION On the basis of NET (category I, II and III) or its equivalent national level test with validity or through CBLU-RAT (in the subjects in which NET etc. is not held) OR
• THROUGH DIRECT ADMISSIONS SUBSEQUENTLY On the basis of fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/ CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE/ CEED etc. and similar National level tests with validity based on an interview against vacant Ph.D. seats as per roster.

The merit list for admission to Ph.D. programme shall be prepared according to the following criteria:

• 70% weightage to the NET score (Conducted by UGC or Equivalent National Level Test) / CBLU-RAT
• 30% weightage to Interview

Application Process

Applications on prescribed format are invited from eligible candidate for admission to Ph.D. Programme for the session 2025-26. Application along-with supporting documents must reach in the concerned department by last date.

• Opening Date for online submission of application form: 27 February, 2026
• Last date for submission of online application form: 19 March, 2026
• Special provision for making online correction in reservation category/quota: 18 March, 2026 to 19 March, 2026
• Downloading of Admit Card: 20 March, 2026
• Last date of submission of Hard Copy of application form in the concerned Departments: 21 March, 2026 upto 03:00 PM
• Date of Entrance Test (CBLU-RAT): 23 March, 2026
• Display of Marks of Entrance Test (CBLU-RAT): 28 March, 2026
• Document Verification and Interview Dates: 28 March, 2026 to 1 April, 2026
• Display of combined merit list and Provisional Admission List: 2 April, 2026
• Commencement of Classes: 6 April, 2026
• Conduct of Ph.D. Course work Examination: October 2026
