Barkatullah University Bhopal invites application for PhD admission for session 2024-25.

Eligibility

• Applicants are advised to apply only if he/she fulfill the eligibility requirements.
• The responsibility of checking appropriate eligibility lies with the candidate.
• Applicants must read and understand details given in the information brochure and Ordinance-11 & UGC Regulation 2022 before filling the online application form.
• No written communication regarding Ph.D Admission (Session 2024-2025) shall be provided. Applicants are advised to visit University website regularly for updates.

PhD Admission Procedure

As per UGC Letter No. F.3-1(UGC-NET Review committee) 2024 (NET)/140648 Dated 27-03-2024 NET candidates will be declared eligible in three categories:

• Category-1: Eligible for Admission to Ph.D. with IRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Category-2: Eligible for Admission to Ph.D. without JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Category-3: Eligible for Admission to Ph.D. Programme only and not award of JRF or appointment as Assistant Professor.

The result of NET will be declared in percentile along with the marks obtained by candidate to utilize the marks for admission to Ph.D.

The JRF-qualified students are admitted into the Ph.D. programme based on an interview as per the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations. 2022.

For students who qualify in Categories 2 and 3, 70% weightage will be given for test scores and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to Ph.D. programmes.

The Ph.D. admission will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the Interview/viva voce.

The marks obtained in the NET by the candidates in Categories 2 and 3 will be valid for a period of one year for admission to Ph.D.

How to Apply

• Interested applicants may apply through our Website www.bubhopal.ac.in h. Applicants can pay tee online through MP-online authorized KIOSK in MP or through any ATM cum Debit card/Credit card or Net Banking.
• Applicant must upload his/her recent coloured photograph at the given space of the online application form. No other documents are to be uploaded.
• The name of the applicants must be the same as given in the marksheet/grade sheet of the 10 Class.
• The information given in the online application form will be verified with the original documents at the time of interview. lf it is found that an applicant has provided incorrect or false information or with held so irrelevant information at the time of filling up the online application form, the applicant shall be debarred from admission or admission can be cancelled at any stage during the course of study without giving prior notice.
• The decision of the Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal regarding any dispute related to B.U. Ph.D Admission (Session 2024-2025) will be final and binding.
• The University reserves the right to modify any information at any stage.
• Any Legeal disputes regarding B.U. Ph.D Admission 2024-2025 is subjected to Bhopal Jurisdiction.
