Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University inviotes online applications for admission to Ph.D. Programme are from candidates who have qualified UGC NET / UGC-CSIR NET December 2024, June and December 2025 & June 2026 and GATE -2025 and 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates having Masters’ Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC Seven point Scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
• A relaxation of 5% Marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/EBC/OBC/ Differentially abled categories of candidates.

Selection Process

• Category 1: UGC NET /UGC-CSIR NET with JRF for admission to Ph.D. programme,
• Category 2: UGC NET /UGC-CSIR NET for Ph.D. Admission without JRF but qualified for Assistant Professor (Validity is one year from the date of publication of the result).
• Category 3: UGC NET/UGC-CSIR NET for admission to Ph.D. programme only (Validity is one year from the date of publication of the result).
• Valid GATE score.

Note: Available seats will be first filled by Category 1 candidates followed by Category 2 and Category 3 candidates on the remaining seat/s. Seats will be filled in accordance with the reservation policy of State State Government.
