School of Environmental Sciences Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi-110067 National Seminar on Impact of Mobile Phone Radiation and Nanotechnology on Environment and Public Health (NMRNEH -2025).

About Seminar

Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Microwave Application Society of India (MASI) and Indian Radio Science Society (InRaSS), is pleased to announce two days National Seminar on “Impact of Mobile Phone Radiation and Nanotechnology on Environment and Public Health”, to be held on 21-22 March, 2025.

The seminar aims to address critical concerns arising from the pervasive presence of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and mobile phone radiation in our environment. Electric and magnetic fields have long been a part of our natural surroundings, yet their roles in influencing life processes remain enigmatic.

The seminar will also emphasize the transformative potential of nanotechnology in addressing challenges related to health, environment, energy, and agriculture. Nanotechnology offers revolutionary solutions in biomedical and environmental applications, including imaging, diagnostics, drug delivery, prosthetics, implants, and environmental sustainability. Despite these advancements, there is a pressing need for methodologies to characterize nanomaterials and understand their interactions with biological systems to effectively monitor associated health and environmental risks.

We are pleased to invite participants from diverse disciplines to engage in discussions covering a wide spectrum of research areas, including:

  • Radiofrequency Measurement Techniques
  • Mobile Phones and Biological Effects
  • Radiation Hazards and Safety Standards
  • Mobile Radiation and public Health
  • Electromagnetic Fields and Environmental Impact
  • Role of Telecommunication in social awareness
  • Nano-biotechnology and Applications in Applied Sciences
  • Nanotechnology in Infectious Diseases
