Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University (MBSPSU) Patiala invites application for PhD Admission for 2026-27 session.

Eligibility

• Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university.
• Relaxation of 5% marks shall be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Differently-Abled candidates as per Government of India / UGC norms.

Selection Process

• Written Entrance Test -70% weightage/NET/JRF score
• Interview / Research Proposal Presentation – 30% weightage

Entrance Test Exemption

• UGC-NET including NET qualified under category 3 (qualified for Ph.D.) / UGC-JRF/CSIR / SLET/GATE /GPAT/ICAR / INSPIRE/ Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship awardee/Teacher fellowship holder / Direct fellowship awardee.
• M.Phil. Degree

• Fill Application Form in Capital Letters as per required columns.
• Attach your recent Passport Size photos. (2 photos)
• Attach Fee Slip with Application Form.
• Attach all supporting documents. (10th, 12th, Graduation DMC’s, Masters DMC’s, UGC Net Certificate/ CSIR-NET/GATE/GPAT/ICAR/INSPIRE/ Rajive Gandhi Fellowship Awardee/ Teacher fellowship holder/ Direct fellowship awardee, M.Phil Degree
• Category Certificate, Aadhar Card or supporting documents. (if any)

Submit the Application form in Hard copy and Soft Copy.
