IIIT Vadodara PhD Admission 2025-26 (Winter)

IIIT Vadodara, Gujarat invites online application for PhD admission for Winter 2025-26.

Eligibility

Minimum Qualification for PhD (Full Time):

• Candidates with Post-graduation: 60% or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in M.Tech./M.E. or equiv. in relevant areas. OR
• Candidates with B.Tech/ an equivalent degree (without Masters): 80% or 8.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in B.E./B.Tech./B.S. (4 years) or equivalent.

Minimum Qualification for PhD (Part Time):

• Candidates with Post-graduation: 60% or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in M.Tech./M.E./ M.S./M.Sc./ MCA/ MA/ equiv. OR
• Candidates with B.Tech or an equivalent degree (without Masters): 60% or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in B.Tech or an equivalent degree in relevant areas with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Interdisciplinary:60% or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale in M.Tech./ M.E./ M.S./ M.Sc./ M.B.A./ MA with relevant knowledge in CSE/ IT/ ECE/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Humanities and Social Sciences.
• The applicant must be working in a relevant field of proposed research work. The applicant must be an employee (regular / on contract) of a State/ Central Govt. Departments/ PSUs/ Educational Institutes/ Research organizations/ Industries with an annual turnover of at least 2 crores. He/ She must have at least one year experience at the time of admission in the discipline in which admission is sought.

Financial Assistance

For Full Time PhD students:

• The institute offers financial assistance to eligible Ph.D.(Full Time) students of Rs 37,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000/- per month for the next three years.
• The amount may vary based on the institute norms. The financial assistance is against TAship, Research work and other co-academic work.
• Note that students under the Part Time category are not eligible to avail the financial assistance from the institute.

Admission Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for the first round of selection process (preferably online mode).
• Second round of selection process may be conducted at the institute. Such candidates will be given train fare (AC third class) to and fro their hometown and institute.

1. Pay the application fee
2. Keep scanned copies of following documents: Marksheets & certificate of post-graduation/graduation, Category certificate, CV, photograph, Proof of payment, No Objection Certificate from current employer (if applicable)
3. The applicants must fill up the Online Application Form and SUBMIT it. Do Not leave the form half filled.
4. After successful submission, an email will be sent. Print it, sign on all pages and send it along with supporting documents by email to pgadmissions@iiitvadodara.ac.in
