Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University PhD Admissions 2025-26

Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad, Jharkhand invites online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must have a Master’s Degree or an equivalent qualification in the concerned subject from a recognized university, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade on a point scale (wherever grading system is followed). AND
• The applicant must have qualified UGC-JRF /NET FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR /NET (Ph.D.) / UGC-CSIR-NET /GATE /JET.

Note:

• A relaxation of 5% marks (minimum 50%) or equivalent grade will be given to candidates belonging to the following categories, as per UGC norms: SC/ST /BC-I/BC-II /PWD/EWS.
• The candidate must have qualified the UGC-JRF /NET /NET (Ph.D.)/ UGC-CSIR-NET /GATE/JET Exam on or before the date of advertisement.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted on the basis of 100 marks in total.

• For Category I (JRF qualified) candidates will be admitted into the Ph.D. Programme based on the interview.
• For Category II (NET FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR) & Category III (NET FOR Ph.D. only) candidates, 70% weightage will be given for test scores and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to Ph.D. Programme. The Ph.D. admission will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the interview/ VIVA-VOCE.

• The application process will be in offline mode sent by post or direct to the University addressed to The Chairman, Admission Cell, Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, Pin-826004.
• The applicant must mention the subject applied, application for Ph.D. Admission 2025, and category on top of the envelop.

• Date of Advertisement: 4 October, 2025
• Commencement of Date of Application: 6 October, 2025
• Last Date of Application: 10 November, 2025
• List of Applicants along with application provided to the Concern Departments: 14 November, 2025
• Application form Verification by the Concerned Department: 17 November, 2025 to 20 November, 2025
• Interview/VIVA-VOCE Conducted by DRC of Concern Department (The Final Result of the Interview should be submitted on the same day to the Admission Cell for Publication of the Final Result): 21 November, 2025 to 30 November, 2025
• DRC and Pre-registration Seminar completion period and forwarded to The Registrar Office for PGRC: Up to 15 January, 2026
